GC 120 Final Project: Drone Assembly
Objective: To design and render a real life machine completely from scratch in SOLIDWORKS
Process:
- Essential turned out to be a project of reverse-engineering. Therefore the first objective was to deconstruct my drone and determine which parts needed to be drawn separate
- Measure the dimensions of the assembly parts and design each individual part as a 3-D model within Solidworks with those measurements
- Use the 3-D models to construct design drawings based on the parts with profile, side, and top views for each one
- Complete the model by creating an assembly with each of the parts and a separate drawing detailing the construction
- Render the final product
